Kim Stewart earned a BFA with a painting concentration at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She studied with the incredible colorist, John Roy, student of Josef Albers. Abstract landscapes in acrylic have always been her passion and work she comes back to again and again at different stages of her career. “I believe my sense of color has always been a strength in my painting and other creative work. In college, I painted at a very large scale and am dying to get back to that size. Since then, I have continued to paint landscapes inspired by places I have been but reinterpreted to be bold and whimsy and full of color.”
